Jewish Holidays Ram Horn Shofar with Personal Greeting
A shofar is made of ram horn that is blown and it's blown in the synagogue during the Rosh Hashana services, the Jewish new year, and at the end of Yom Kippur - the Jewish day of attornment. It is also blown everyday during the month of Elul. Historically it is said to be used in the Jewish wars for commands - similar to the "colors" flag later in history - and an example is the siege of Jericho.
This shofar is made of ram horn, although some are also made of goat. Only bulls and cow shofars are not permitted because its association to the golden statue the children of Israel made while Moses was on top of mount Sinai.
